Get Some Tissues...
This video is so touching, definitely worth your time to watch. It's so tragic to think that many people would have ended the life of a precious little one like this boy, Eliot.
Having therefore these promises, dearly beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.

According to Calvinist theology one would not know if this infant was one of the elect or not; am I reading Calvin correctly?
I would say that (based on my belief in covenant theology), an infant of a believer would go to heaven. Other babies, I would say that it's certainly not outside of the character of God to impute righteousness to a baby, but since we are conceived in iniquity, even a baby isn't *deserving*--he is not as holy as God. Thankfully, the Lord is perfectly just and everything He does is right! Scripture does not directly speak to the issue of eternity for infants.
